Opening Deposit account without holding a current account in a bank

Hi All - I would like to open a deposit account with AIB (or PTSB) but I don't have a current account with them and don't want to have one either. Will they allow me to just a deposit account ?

I have savings accounts with AIB, no current account, 2 of them opened online lately and had the other one a while.

Opened them online too ? All I see is ways to open a current account online - https://aib.ie/our-products/current-accounts/online-bank-account-opening

Can you paste me the link or process to open savings account online, or else will head down to the bank some time next week to check it out.

I opened them on the laptop, dunno what the difference was but they are savings accounts, don't really use the phone for banking unless no other option.

Haven't tried with the new ones I opened, I just transfer in at the moment but on my older deposit account yes I can transfer out to anywhere once I have iban/bic
