Switching from Kerosene to Gas

Thinking we need to switch from kerosene to gas. Current kero boiler is about 30 years old

As a complete novice what are the questions I need to be asking of any installers that I call.

I've read that we should allow approx 1.5Kw per radiator, we have 8 so = 12Kw?

If we ever extend should I over spec the boiler to allow for this and is there a disadvantage to this approach?

With the power shower I assume I need to keep the hot water tank and go for a system boiler?

    Any recommendations as to makes?

Are we like the UK now in that it should be a condensing boiler?

    Thanks

    Horsey
