'ATA' Hard drive enclosure?

Hi all The aul man wants to retrieve stuff off an ATA hdd from the 90s. All I can see on ebay is SATA hard drive enclosures. Would they be compatible? Cheers Omt

Try searching for ide instead of ata, should find some like this

It's probably an 3.5" IDE to USB enclosure you are looking for.
Also you may fail to recover anything from that old Maxtor drive. They had a nasty habit of crashing and being unrecoverable if sat round for a long while.

ata is just another world for ide drive, now all drives are sata type . make sure you buy one thats 3.5inch,
not 2.5 inch
