Manufacturer-recertified hard drives are put through more tests than new hard drives. If reliability is your concern, you should be doing the opposite of what you think.

Hard drives that have been recertified elsewhere, on the other hand, should be avoided.

Yeah, unfortunately I think I saw it late. It may have been going since Friday. But WD often seem to have a few sales in a row, so hopefully more coming.

Saying that, if you go to different countries, they seem to have more in stock. 🤷‍♂️

For example the My Passport X 3TB is available in most of Europe and totals €56.70 but not in UK or here. I wonder if anything to do with Brexit. I remember reading something about many companies not knowing the difference between N.I. and R.O.I.
