'News' sites slow with stories or being disingenuous running stories out for clicks?

    Maybe the story in the LA Times only had his name added in the last edit on May 11th, 10:48 AM PT? The article itself says his name was only released several days after it was discovered, so maybe they updated it when that information came out.

    Not sure what news outlets were running the story on the 12th, but the RSVP Live one is from the 10th, so a full day before the final version of the LA Times one. Plus 10:48 on the morning of the 11th LA time would have been almost 7PM Irish time.

    I'm always a bit surprised that people seem to think that tiny Irish media organisations should be reporting on relatively minor local stories from around the world in real time. There was a thread here not so long ago giving out that RTE weren't live reporting on a brief ATM outage affecting a few Canadian banks that happened at 10 at night Irish time.
