Rent a room: Secondment

    Hi,

    I will be working abroad (EU) for a 9 months on a secondment commencing in september, and trying to figure out if I can use the rent a room scheme in my house. I will remain an Irish tax resident and my employer in Ireland is paying my salary. This is my only property and my primary residence. I want to keep a room in the house for myself as I intend on coming back and forth every few weeks. Can I avail of the rent a room scheme for 2022 and 2023? Or has anyone had any experience of this? Thanks
