Does anyone here have a CPE Pro3? (H138-380)

I've recently got one from Eir and am finding a general instability in it and wonder if it is common with the model or if I have a faulty unit.

If you have this model of router, would you mind answering the following 2 questions??

    1. Are you able to use LTE H-Monitor to lock a band on your one?
    2. If you open the web UI of your router and go to ADVANCED, the immediately select SYSTEM does the router ever disconnect and reset the internet connection (takes about 3 mins to come back)??

    Cheers

I dont have CPE Pro3, but B818 is similar/same interface

    1. should be able to select prefered band, but it wont be permanent unless paid LTE HM. It might revert to other bands at will
    2. this should not be hapening just because you browse GUI

Could it be that #2 is caused by #1 ? Does disconnect happen if you do not force band?

Was your unit sealed once you purchased? Could it be "returned" unit resale? Asking as you mentioned in the other thread it was unlocked - this not common from ISP prospective, but i could be wrong

Check the Logs for clues -> Huawei Device Web UI / System -> System Settings -> System Logs

If APN settings are not correct then it can cause issue like you have as it tries to connect and reconnect after disconnecting

Redo the Device WAN profile and correct APN settings for Eir

APN Location: Huawei Device Web UI / Network Settings -> Mobile Network -> Profiles

I think it's 'broadband.myeirmobile.ie' but you should look it up to get correct info for each field in the newly created profile
