    Hi,

I'm looking for a new phone and want to go more budget this time. Maybe around 300 euro. I don't do anything too adventurous with it.. A good camera would be the most important.. Another thing that would be nice would be wireless charging but not essential . I'd like to get something that's will last so updates for a few years would be good.

Does it have to be new? A second hand pixel "a" variant might work if camera and support are important.

Otherwise I'd look at samsung - often beating google for support and cameras are pretty good too even at the mid/lower end.

Poco f3 is an excellent phone for the price

    Review of the f3 here

Worth checking out the camera reviews on GSM arena.

I also would look for a phone with OIS. (Optical image stabilization) makes a huge difference. Just hard to get it at this price point.

Another for the pixel 4a5G and above. If you look for Redmi or Xiaomi with OIS they can also be good. They seem to have "T Pro" in the name. Big phones though. On sales these phones can be come down to 350.

The Apple SE 2022 has decent camera but it's poor bang for buck otherwise unless you love iphones.

Not all these have OIS. But I would try get one with that if possible.

Huawei p 30 pro is still worth a shot, I upgraded mine to an oppoo, a great phone but the battery in my p30 pro was still as good as the day I got it.

I used to photograph at night with the p30 pro and the amount of light it sucked in was amazing. And the stars used to be amazing.

A tripod and phone holder is great for trying to get steady shots.

Its getting Android 12 I believe.

Bracing yourself and/or the camera on a wall or fence helps a lot especially ifs using that zoom.
