Brilliant to see and hopefully the kids of the area will use it.

It has been some journey as it was a community garden a while back!

"The site was formerly the location of a 1960s apartment complex that was pulled down in 2003.

A public-private partnership deal to use the site for 200 new apartments and a community centre fell through after the economic crash in 2008."

Delighted to see this. One of the main reasons it declined was its use by junkies in the area, hopefully that won't continue with Merchant's Quay still around the corner.

Next for "public realm" must surely be the streets North of O'Connell Bridge. Maybe it's just me, but that area has a total aura of neglect and is certainly not a place I would visit willingly now.
