High quality switching arcade PSU?

I need to stick a new PSU in my Jaleco Pony and want to buy the best one possible. (currently has a Jap 100v one but it's finally died on me)

Is there a good go to unit people are using these days? I keep seeing cheapy looking Chinese ones on sites so want to spent a few quid on a decent one.

The Happ power supply is one of the better ones afaik, the Meanwell supplies are generally very good as well. Just stay away from unbranded aliepxress stuff.

Yeah they seem to be two of the main brands Jeff is selling on arcadeworlduk.

Never heard of Mean Well as a company actually.

Reckon I'll nab one of the following two so. Actually I'll stick my head inside the machine before buying anything just to see what's actually there at the moment, been a while since I've poked around inside.

Do you need a stepdown first before the 100V goes into the cab?

Good point, the PSU's are switchable 110/240V but the monitor/amps/lighting will still all be 100V.

Yeah the cabinet is set up for Japanese voltage at the moment, I've one of those 500w Airlink 100v step downs with two outputs that I run both cabs from.

So I'll be setting this PSU to the 100-120v range and connecting it up to a 100v step down.

Ah, it's a Rolls Royce of arcade machines now so I want to put the best quality arcade PSU in it as I can really, just seems fitting!

Haven't gotten around to doing this yet actually, reckon getting this cab up and running will be my next project after sorting out MiSTer in the other one.
