We are going away to Spain soon which requires us to complete at least an antigen test and present the proof of EU Covid Cert...

My question is, how to get that EU Covid Cert?

Or is the EU Covid cert the same what Randox emailed me today stating a negative results, incl my name, and date of birth and a small QR code on the top? I scanned the QR and its only says: @confirmation this is a genuine Randox Health...with all my details again. No passport number, even I gave it to them while booking....Hmm?

Maybe I'm panicking just before departure tomorrow...but if any of you recently travelled please let me know.

If you are vaccinated you probably would have been emailed a vaccination certificate or had it posted to your house. A vaccination certificate issued in Ireland is an EU vaccination certificate. What Randox emailed to you is not an EU vaccination certificate, it's just confirmation of test results.

People gets tests from the likes of Randox if the country they are going to requires a negative Covid test for all travellers or negative Covid tests for just unvaccinated travellers. For many countries at the moment (but not all) having an EU vaccination certificate means you do not have to take any predeparture Covid tests.

Hi, my Vaccination covid cert expired a couple of days ago, this is why I had to get a negative antigen test. Spain requires this still.

I only wonder if this email what Randox sent me is enough to show to the aircraft staff before departure and after arriving? Or is there any app I can get DCC from? Maybe for antigen test there is nothing like this ?

You can't get a DCC for anything other than vaccination. Yours has expired. Anyone who got a booster got a new cert.

Thanks. No booster here, so antigen test was an option.

I had both shots, but no booster. I have a DCC for the 2 I got last summer, is that all I will need to travel to span in a couple of weeks?

Rather not get the booster if at all possible.

    Cheers.

It looks like at the moment that if your original vaccination cert is older than 270 days then you'll need a booster. If you are getting a booster keep in mind that the new cert won't become valid until 14 days have lapsed since the last dose. You'll need to factor that into your timings.
