Miroku firing pins question.

Hi everyone, a question for those of you who have ever taken out/changed the firing pins on miroku Mk38.

Should there be a coil spring in place to retract the top firing pin?

My Mk38 top firing pin was "sticky" and remained protruding from the action face after firing.

A good shove with your finger nail puts it back in, but obviously not an ideal situation.

So today I took the stock off and

    had a look.

Bottom pin moves freely and is spring loaded to retract back onto the action.

Top pin looks to be "home made", as not as nicely machined at the bottom one, also seems to be made of softer steel, as the head is burred.

    No spring present either.

    Should there be?
