Identifying a mondeo wire

    So, I had some gremlins today on the mondeo titanium mk 4 pre facelift. The battery was disconnected this week for work to be done and I noticed a small wire, coloured red in the attached photo, had sheered off. Does anyone know what this wire does or goes? I entended it and soldered a new section which is the thicker red wire in the photo.

    I have the same car, I don't think I have that wire on my Mondeo, the positive terminal snakes along the front of the car low down where it connects to the starter and alternator.

    I'll double check in the morning to see do I have that wire, don't know what it could be,

    I took a photo of my battery, I don't have those wires on my car, just the cable going from negative post to the earth bolt. No idea what that is on yours then but seems like it's not factory.

    Not that I am aware of. It was quite a fine wire. I soldered on a larger wire - the one in the photo. It is a titanium X model. I dont see any aftermarket add-ons.
