I have the above phone on Eir billpay . When i go into the north or im in the UK, i cant get service. It comes up as " not registered on the network " . Now when i come back to the republic, if i restart the phone it works fine, but if i try a restart in the north/UK it wont log onto any network . Its a sim free phone i bought new, in an asian shop in Dublin 18 months ago . Can anyone suggest, is it likely to be the phone or perhaps something with the sim card? Thanks

Sounds like it is blacklisted in the Uk

Not uncommon if handset was reported lost or stolen in uk, the network blacklists it so it can't be used on any other network.

I take it you have roaming turned on?

Yes of course. And when automatic network selection didn't happen, I tried manual but that option won't open, until I return to the Republic

I have checked online with the imei and discovered my phone is indeed blacklisted. Does anyone know is there any way to resolve this? It's almost two years since I bought the phone, properly packaged etc in an Asian shop in Parnell street. I had found the ad on Adverts. Ie and the price was similar to all the others there.

Is there any way to find out where it was blacklisted or is there any easy way to resolve this? Or do I just bite the bullet and get a new phone. I have no interest if having a stolen phone
