Have a look at Salou and Cambrills.

Depending on your budget, one of the campsites would suit you down to the ground. Sanguli would be perfect for all of your kids from the youngest to teenagers.

    It's excellent.

San Sebastián in Spain. Fly to Bilbao or Birratz. Only 1 hour 40 minute flight. No real strip but done if the best restaurants and Pinxto bars in the world.

    it has a fantastic beach

Thanks for this. Is cambrils a decent area for restaurants etc or did you mean for the campsites? Had a quick look and they seemed to be booked for our mid august dates but loads of apartments available so wondering what the cambrils area is like if you have more info

We stayed in Sanguli which is smack bang between the two. Salou is more of your regular spanish type resort. It's very family friendly and has loads of restaurants and a very long promenade. It had a market area at night which is like a street full of vendors selling the usual tat but it is fun. Lots of bars & restaurants but I didn't find it too tacky. It's also the centre for day trips to Barcelona, the Nou Camp etc.

Cambrils is a lot quieter, smaller but also family friendly and probably a little more expensive.

Look on youtube for videos of the resorts. They can be helpful.

It's a matter of taste really.
