Probably best as a separate thread so people can fill up before prices change. Refinery and exchange rate changes feed into pumps very quickly as it takes just 2-3 days to move fuel from refinery to port.

Refining prices for diesel and petrol have gone to record levels - in boring times the costs is $6-$12 per barrel, so this will put the info below in perspective

Just to update with a report from yesterday...and its is not good

"Diesel barge cracks were assessed at $52.23/b April 26, and FOB Rotterdam jet cracks having overtaken those of diesel were at $57.50/b, S&P Global data showed."

Dollar is at $1.05 which adds further pain

    Brent Oil is $105

So look away if you don't want your day ruined

    $105 + $52 x exchange rate = €1.49

    Add duty/carbon tax/nora levy - 42c

add distribution and retail margin - 15c

    add vat

    Total €2.53

Petrol refining has also increased to $28/barrel, near an all time high, so expect €2.35 for petrol

You might want to look at your calculations again. You forgot to convert from a barrel of oil to a litre and just divided by 100. 😀

    Looks like it's 156L /barrel.

But I don't know how many L of fuel comes from that 156L

A lot will go to making other chemicals.

The OP might have more info.

Maybe there's only ~100 of fuel per barrel .

Yep, had brain freeze and realized earlier today the error.

Forgot to divide by the 159 litres in barrel.

    Prices will stay under €2
