Sand white deal floor to remove stain

Moving into a house in 2 weeks, and need to get a 10x14 floor sanded.

Left it too late to get someone to do it, and don't want to get it done when we're in there.

Sanded floors years ago, so thinking of having a go.

It's white deal, so would a drum sander do the job?

Any words to the wise appreciated
