Outdoor kitchen/workspace?

I have a portable pizza oven and I'm looking to put together a space in my garden where I can use it. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I can buy (or make) that would fit the bill.

My needs are fairly basic - I just need something with enough counter space to place the oven, and have room to prep food. And it needs to be at a decent height so I can use it standing up (maybe 3-4ft?). I'd also like to have some kind of storage underneath where I can keep the oven and various implements when not in use.

Something like this would probably be ideal - but I was wondering if I could find or build something that wouldn't cost quite as much.

I'm tempted just to put together a fairly basic wooden box, and maybe have the top on a hinge so it could be used as storage. Or I could make up something with brick and put some doors on the front to make storage (I presume this would cost a bit more, but it would be against a brick wall so I'd only really need to do two pillars and a counter?)

Any suggestions on the cheapest/easiest route for something like this?

That IKEA unit doesn't look fit for outdoor use.

You could look at designs for workshop benches, eg.

If the materials and fixings are suitable for outdoors then it should last.

If it's going to be out in all weather, catering stainless steel is a good bet, if you want it to last.

I would have a look at second-hand catering shelving/workspaces and maybe figuring out a storage solution that works for the shelving underneath maybe?

What makes you think it's not suitable for outdoor? It is sold as a component in their 'outdoor kitchen' line so I would have presumed it's made to suit.

Yes, I'd thought something like a workbench might be the best option - I presume working with wood would be cheaper than brick, though the only downside is I'd have to be extra careful in ensuring the pizza oven was cold before storing it inside (though it's not like I planned to put it away ripping hot anyway!)

Thanks - they'd be perfect but by the looks of things the price would be fairly steep. With the amount of use it would get I'm not sure I could justify it to be honest!

No worries! I just thought I was missing something - wouldn't put it past a retailer to sell something as outdoor that wasn't actually suitable to be used outdoors!
