Hi all. Could anyone recommend a nice hotel in Berlin that’s reasonably priced? Thanks.

Have stayed in the Hotel Lutzow a few times with no complaints. Close to the 100 and 200 bus routes.

    Near the Zoo and Aquarium.

In a different league - You can be lucky sometimes with the Pullman Berlin Schweizerhof (which is fabulous), It's a business hotel mostly but there can sometimes be real bargains on weekend nights.

Scandic Potzdamerplatz ticked all the boxes for me last time I went. Beside train & U-Bahn

I usually stay at the Queen's Park hotel as it's near the Olympiastadion which is where I visit. Very close to the station, very quiet area, has parking, nice and friendly. For some bizarre reason it's an 'English/London' themed hotel in Berlin, loads of Black Cabs/Red Phone boxes for no apparent reason. Cheap, cheerful, practical, English speaking, friendly. Enjoy Berlin!

For work, I've stayed in Motel One Berlin-Ku'Damm which was meh (stayed a few times), AZIMUT Hotel Kurfuerstendamm where I stayed once and I'll never do again and H10 Berlin Ku'damm which was quite nice (again stayed a few times).

I've been to Berlin twice and stayed in the Park Inn and the Hampton Inn in Alexanderplatz. Lots of hotels in the area as well as plenty of shopping and restaurants on your doorstep. The S bahn and the U bahn stop in Alexanderplatz so it's good for transport connections as well.

Firstly, Berlin is a huge city and is very spread out (historically, it is actually an amalgamation of different cities/towns). Therefore, the big question is what is the purpose of your visit? If only a short trip and doing part of the city, then it's probably best to stay in that part. If planning on a longer stay and visiting the whole city, then your best 3 locations are probably Alexanderplatz (East Berlin centre), Mitte/Potsdamerplatz (middle centre), or Kurfürstendamm area (west berlin centre). The good news is that there is excellent public transport all over and is also a very pleasant city for walking around in.

I've stayed in the Ibis Kurfürstendamm, which is opposite the KaDeWe (giant, famous department store) and next to a small plaza and decent u-bahn station (3 different lines). If you are not familiar with Ibis, think of Juries Inn - cheap and cheerful. A comfy bed/room in great location, but none of the extras such as restaurant/pool/etc which you are likely to not use anyway.

Over in Alexanderplatz, I've stayed in the Park Inn by Radisson. Again, prices and rooms were good. The hotel is in 37 storeys tall with over 1,000 rooms right bang on the plaza, so you can't go wrong with regards views and location. Likewise, there is a major u-bahn station just next to the hotel (3-different lines) as well as an adjacent train station, with a lot of s-bahns and regional train routes.

Can highly recommend Casa Camper in Mite. We were there in Feb. Hotel is central and not far from trains/metro etc. Someone on here recommended it.

The Riu Plaza is unbeatable for me. It is sandwiched between the Nollendorfplatz and Wittenbergplatz metro stations, in a leafy part of West Berlin and the building is around 25 stories high, so offers amazing views of the city - all for a very reasonable price.

Generally speaking, Berlin is probably the best city in Europe for quality hotels at very reasonable prices so it is hard to go wrong.
