Heading to Donegal Boardwalk at end of May for a week and looking for some recommendations for walking trails/forests. Have been to Ards which is beautiful but just wondering is there any others. Also if anyone had recommendations of places to eat?

    Thanks

Hi Sooty, loads of place to walk in that area, as you are staying at the boardwalk, you can start there and go to Tramore beach, as for trail, take anyone of the back roads to the hills and you will find loads of bog roads to explore, walk up Lough Salt mt, Murder Hole is a must or Tranrossan beach, walk the Atlantic Drive.

As for places to eat, well there are plenty, in no particular order

Olde Glen Bar - Need to book well in advance to get in here

    Boardwalk

    Macs takeaway

    Carrigart One 8

    Carrgart Hotel

    Goose & Gander Pizza

    Beach Hotel

Downings Bay Hotel ( Thursday Supper Club is good value )

    The Galley

    Johnstons Takeaway

    Fisk beside Harbour Bar

    Singing Pub

If you like Indian - Gustos takeaway in Creeslough

Thank you very much for all that information as we will have a dog with us I think Murder Hole beach is out of the equation.

    Much obliged for your help.

If you have a dog, Murder Hole is out of the question, it is working farmland with cows, sheep and lambs at the moment.
