Skoda Service (Major vs Minor)

    Hi,

    Need to service a 192 Scala for the first time and wondering if the minor service would be sufficient or if I should opt for the major. There is 41k KM on the clock.

    Do you mean first time under your ownership or first service for the car ever ? If it's the latter 41k is quite excessive length of time to have not had it done.

    I'd be getting a full service in that case as it's already exceeded 30k interval.

    If it's never been serviced before without doubt go major. The oil could potentially start causing problems with being unchanged in nearly 3 years and 41km.

    Apologies .. To clarify, it will be the first time to service the car since I bought it last year..

    Prior to me buying it, it was serviced Apr 2021.

    I see from the invoice that the oil and oil filter was replaced as part of that service.

    What mileage was it done last year do you know ? You could even ring the garage and ask them what was done last time. But if it's due it's full service just bite the bullet and get it done.
