My Father passed away a while ago and I am sorting out his affairs. He didnt have a will that I am aware of and his only assets were a small amount of savings + Car (No property shares etc) and under €25,000 in total, he was legally separated and I am his only child. From discussing with the bank they are happy to distribute the remaining funds to me and mentioned that no probate is required. Anyone know if this is correct and are there any other formalities required?
