Neighbours Extension Woes

My neighbours are building an extension at the back of their house. They have built up to the concrete fence separating our houses.

They removed the concrete fence panels to render their wall. They didn’t remove the bottom panel.

As you can see from the picture, they have filled the void between the fence and their extension with concrete. The boundary between the houses is in the middle of the H post (mine to the left). The houses are timber frame terraces.

I’m worried this will lead to damp issues for my house as the concrete is well above the damp proof course. Although the concrete is not actually touching my property, I’m worried that over time damp may start to penetrate my house.

Am I right to be worried?

    Thanks

If as you say its well above the damp proof course then yes I would say that is an issue. It will be an issue for them probably before it is for you, but I would raise it with you neighbour. Very easy fix ... just remove the mortar droppings/concrete on the ground.
