Any normal TV's anymore?

By normal, I mean not a smart TV.

I think my TV is on the way out. Tuner works fine, can pick up channels no bother. But I've been having a problem with the two HDMI ports on the TV. And this is a huge issue since I have a DVD player and an android box connected to the TV.

Alot of TVs seems to be smart TVs and if they're anything like phones, they would probably need updating at some point. Read of someone else's post here where they can't get any updates and apps don't work. Not only that, there seems to be apps on a smart TV that I probably won't ever use, so seems like a waste. I'm happy with my android box connected to the TV and it does the same thing and I can have whatever app I want.

So I'm just looking for a normal TV, is there anything available or are they all smart TVs now?

SMART is so cheap and so many subscription apps come bundled with new TVs that it might then cost more to make a non smart one.

SMART TV's don't get many updates and generally have poor security. Stick with android box. If only port is having a problem then get a HDMI switch. It might even be possible to get an external DVD drive to plug into the android box YMMV.

You don't have to use the smart features. I have Samsung smart TV but I just use amazon firestick for everything, don't use the TV apps ever. Moat are out of date now, correct, but it doesn't matter.

I'd try to get one with 4 HDMI ports, 2 is restrictive. I've a smartish TV but use absolutely nothing smart on it, I use FireStick or Android box.
