Hi there! We are looking to move to Kildare town with our two small kids. Should we be concerned about smell and noise from chilling company? Looking at Curragh Finn, Rowanville and Crockanure…any help greatly appreciated!

Hi. Well Curragh Finn is on the other side of the town so the chilling plant won't be an issue there.

Occasionally there is a smell from the Chilling on the road outside for a short period. No smell ever in Rowanville and Crockanure is not on that side of the town.

Thankfully the prevailing westerly wind almost always takes the whiff towards the Curragh/Motorway.

Only when there is a rare easterly breeze/wind will you get any notion of a smell. It's definitely nothing to be concerned about in Rowanville.

Thanks for your feedback! Wondering what your experience of living in the town is?
