Decking - Trex v Wood?

i have heard trex is 4-5 times dearer than wood? Has anyone any experience of putting down a trex deck recently?

It's definitely pricier but you can get it on sale sometimes. Lasts a LOT longer though and doesn't disintegrate as wood does. There are a few other composite deck manufacturers so shop around. Not put it down myself....
