Hi, Might be a silly question but can't find an obvious answer. Quoted my renewal on my car insurance with Zurich. Decent price but wanted lower (500s). Chanced Zurich as a new customer (in the low 400s). Is there anything stopping me taking out a policy as a new customer rather than a renewal? I have contacted Zurich and…

Hi,

I have contacted Zurich and tried to get them to match it; to no avail.

I do this with Aviva most years. No problem at all. I presume it's the same for all insurers.

Super, thanks. Thought the same but just wondering.
Ridiculous really that the renewal team won't match the new customer price, but that's for another day.
