Hi all, just have a query about trying to remove the sd card from the console. When I open the cover to access the card there is some sort of gold foil over the sd card which prevents it from coming out of the slot, like when you just push an SD card in a camera it pops out straight away for example. I can get the foil out slightly but no further and it feels like it's stuck fast, don't want to pull it too hard in case I damage something.

Anyone see anything like this before?

I wonder if the car was an ex rental or something?

Yea I think it was, I presume whatever this foil is was put there to prevent punters stealing the sd card then. Very annoying!

you might be able to remove the whole trim panel and pop out the whole sd card module from the inside.

    I'd avoid it either way.

Those navs are infamous for sh1tting the bed while updating, second hand units are impossible to find and a new unit would write the car off.

The nav is junk even when updated.
