PSO levy to be scrapped on electricity bills.

Being reported the POS levy on electicty bill to be scrapped later in the year.../ October.

This levy normally amounts to circa €57 per annum on electricity bills......... while good / positive news the cynic in me says unit price increases will eat up this reduction long before it's introduced

Does this levy go towards Eirgrid? Will Eirgrid surrender their corporate boxes at Croke Park to save additional money, not sure why they have them it's not as if anyone has a choice who they choose to manage the network.

No, it goes to fund renewable generation. It isn't needed when energy prices are as high as they are now
