Easytrip tag account - new 'account service fee'

Got my March statement yesterday and spotted that the monthly admin charge has gone up from 1.23 to 1.85.

Under 'Subscription Charges', there was always a one line charge..... 'Tolling <reg no>'.The amount of this charge was and is €1.00 plus VAT making it €1.23 per month. The March statement has an additional line in this section: 'Account Service Fee' which is 50c plus 12c VAT making it an additional 62c per month.

What especially bugs me about a new admin charge is that my Easytrip tag gave up the ghost a couple of months ago and I found it very difficult to make contact with them - no replies to e-mail or tweets. I finally got through on the phone and they sent me a new tag.

They snuck a tenner "tyre insurance" on to mine without me asking and refused to refund it. Had to do a chargeback. Company seems to be based on sneaking charges now.

When was this? Must check my statements more often!

Summer 2019 I think. Noticed it when doing my work expenses in the airport before going on holiday!

Interesting. I've just noticed their insurance products now on the website.
