Family stay in ireland

Our parents are celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary this summer and as part of our family celebration we wanted to book a weekend for all of us, parents, kids, spouses, grandkids etc. The grandkids are still quite young so somewhere self catering would be better than a hotel just for childcare purposes - somewhere they can be put to bed but still nearby if you know what I mean.

Has anyone done a weekend break like this in a place they'd recommend?

We're already trawling Airbnb but is there anywhere else we should look? It's 10 adults and 3 kids, so at least 6 bedrooms needed.

A hotel complex that has self catering accommodation in the grounds is probably the best option.

Parents stay in the hotel and others stay in apartments/houses

Sneem hotel in Kerry is an example.

Thanks macvin, yes that's the kind of thing I was thinking might be a suitable alternative if one big house is not an option. I'll look up Sneem 😊

look up Faithlegg in Waterford , they have lovely self catering houses and they are close to each other in a little circle . The houses are huge and really spacious

Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick has adjacent self catering apartments/suites. Ground Floor units have a secure terrace. Access to all hotel facilities including the pool.
