New to cod, tips on multiplayer for a beginner [MW] [MW2] [MW3]

So I just got cod 4 cod mw2 and mw3 and im so bad at multiplayer on ps3. How do i improve my multiplayer game. I'm going in order so im almost done the campaign for cod 4(so good) and ive played some multiplayer and i suck any, tips that could apply to when i play mw2 and mw3 multiplayer.
