Looking for basic HD aerial / receiver

Hey Folks

I have a decent LG UHD 2019 model 50” TV with freeview tuning built in, that I am placing out the back garden for the summer on a rolling TV stand. Tidy little job that I can roll in and out of the garage.

I have the steaming apps on the TV, which will be great (and the internet reaches out to the garden) but I was looking to buy a freeview aerial / receiver for ~€30 where I could tune in live TV and have things like RTE / VM and potentially BBC if available.

Can anyone recommend something that would achieve this please?

Where are you located? Unless you're near the border with NI you won't get the UK Freeview channels with an aerial.

For the Irish saorview channels you could test a basic set top aerial available from Argos or a local hardware shop.

How well a small portable aerial works will depend on how good the saorview signal is at your location

No such thing as an HD aerial. An aerial is an aerial, nothing more.

This works in a few locations for me, Argos and Tesco stock them, by no means a 100% best in world solution but great for the price at €14. Unsure if it would pick up BBC/ITV if living near the border, would need very high signal for overspill.
