    When your first create your account, you'll need to confirm your accounts creation via a link that's sent to the email address that you've used to sign up with.

    This is necessary as an anti-spam and anti-abuse measure.

    If you don't activate your account, you will only be able to post in a limited subset of specific forums, such as Helpdesk. You'll also see the phrase "awaiting email confirmation" in place of the normal registered user title.

    If you attempt navigate around the site with an unconfirmed email address, you'll also receive a pop-up reminding you do complete the email activation. However, this may not appear depending upon factors such as your browser settings or ad blocker behaviour.

    If you don't see the mail soon after it's sent, please check any spam folders in case it's been wrongly filtered.

    If, for varying reasons, the email wasn't received, you can manually trigger a resending of it via this page:

    If after that, it still doesn't appear, please either post in Helpdesk, or email hello@boards.ie to have it checked by staff.
