I'm off to Spain next week and I will have to make a few phone calls to ireland for work purposes. Anyway, I'm on unlimited calls and data package with Eir on prepay. Will this allow me make phone calls or will i need to buy another sim or use a landline in Spain. Thnaks for any input

You can use your own phone on your own bundle, exactly as you would use it in Ireland.

As @streetlight said, you can use your bundle you on here, was recently abroad and got txt saying I can use my calls, text and data allowance at no extra cost

Just enable roaming on your mobile data when you land but as others say you can use your phone in Spain without any additional charges. You will get an automatic text from Eir when you land confirming this as well.

Just watch the data usage as some providers limit the amount of data you can use outside of Ireland as far as I know. Its a big limit for browsing etc (think mine is 19gb) but don't go streaming Netflix on your data.
