Advice on end of driveway drain replacement

The drain at the end of the driveway is in bad shape. I can build up the concrete on the left but the metal drain covers sit on the lip of the long half-pipe which is broken in a bunch of spots.

What is that half-pipe drain called so I can get a new one?

I guess the old one will just come out in bits and one concretes in the new one?

You can get a black plastic equivalent which has metal grate/cover in the builder's providers. You would obviously need to check dimensions and whether it will take vehicular loading. It would need to be very well bedded in to prevent subsidence and damage.

I talked to my local supplier. The black plastic one only takes 1.5 tonnes so not ideal for cars, the other is rated for 12.5 tonnes. They sell it in a kit of 1m which comes with the channel drain and the metal grate for €40 and you set it in concrete. I guess I'll see how many meters I need to replace and hack out that section.

We put the black plastic channel drains down. No issue with weight but the 1m covers pop off regularly, which is annoying. I'm going to have to put a strip of clear silicon along the edges....
