Jimmy Lindley, rider of 1964 St Leger winner, Indiana, 1967 Coronation Cup winner, Charlottown and 1970 Ascot Gold Cup winner, Precipice Wood, and runner-up in the 1964 Arc aboard the Curragh-trained Santa Claus, amongst many others of course, and who later succeeded Clive Graham as BBC's paddock expert has died aged 86. Song and Sol 'Argent are two other horses I associate with him from my formative years.
