Last summer I scratched a car on an undivided country mountain. I scratched a rental car. I gave them my details and waited for a response from the car leasing company. Nothing came from it. Last week a claim has been made against me and my insurance contacted me . Now I have been in contact with the car leasing company. But I'm wondering can come to an agreement with the leasing company and pay for the damage and then contact the insurance to say we settled the dispute ourselves?? If anyone has been in a situation similar can you let me know. Thanks .
