Petrol strimmer not starting

    just tried to start my Ryobi strimmer for the first time this year, wont start, now the pulley pulls and retracts fine so pulley/rope working but has no resistants ,can pull it with one finger, so whats likely course, working fine end of last summer.

    If there's no resistance on the pull start I'd say it's an issue with pawl that's stuck or a broken pawl spring perhaps. Take the pull start cover off and give it a good spray of WD40.

    Took it apart abit of a pain to get too the two stoppers with springs in them seized, WD40 cleaned up and now starting,
