Hi, Aussie here visiting my daughter who lives in Dublin. An extension has been built onto the back of their house, it is flat roof and covered with some sort of black weather proof material. Seems many houses here have a similar design extension. I want to access the gutter, which I can from upstairs window, but what is under this black covering, can I walk on the roof of the extension to get to the gutter? Thanks.

I assume it's a felt covering, if so you'll be grand walking with soft shoes or in your socks if possible.
