Tax refund on Ryanair flights

Hi. I have a flight tomorrow that I cannot make. I'm unsure whether to move the flight (it will cost €90, 45e each), or else get a tax refund. I'm aware there's an admin fee to get tax back (€20), but as my flights cost €420, perhaps the tax will be high? Is there anyway I can find this out? I tried calling but they couldn't tell me how much tax there is. I can try claiming a refund online, but I'd like to know how much tax I'm entitled to before I commit to cancelling the flight. Does anyone have an idea of how much tax I'd be entitled to, roughly? Or whether it's worth my time? (My flight is from Lisbon to Dublin, for two people, one way). Thanks

A quick google turned up this

Not sure if that's the only tax you'll have paid, but if it is is ain't worth trying to claim it back.

It might also be worth noting that sometimes Ryanair sell flights without the tax in which case you would not be due a refund of taxes.. Is there no breakdown on your itinerary?

Thanks for the replies. I’ve a feeling the tax would be quite low alright.

No, the tax is nowhere to be found on my booking. Aer Lingus give a breakdown alright. EasyJet gave me a €15 tax refund on a €90 flight, for contrast.

Ive no idea when to switch my flight to, so I might just chance going ahead with the refund and see how it goes ...

The one time I applied for a tax refund from ryanair, they came back to me saying it was not above the admin fee. This was on a flight that cost ~240€. I was unimpressed, especially because I only missed the flight due to another ryanair flight being cancelled. So do not assume you will get anything back.

had same issue just before the pandemic, looked into claiming back on insurance and found out that you can only claim back the tax and then when you look into how much you can actually claim it is not worth claiming
