Hi, I am looking for a new phone with good storage, speed and durability. Long time Samsung user.

The S21 FE was recommended to me. It's 700 quid which is more than I would usually spend on a new phone.

Any advice before I seal the deal.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

I'm a long time samsung user too and have S20 FE. Got it for free on our work tariff, I run the company phone account. Its OK, nothing great and certainly nothing worth paying big money for. Presume the S21 is no better no matter how they are marketed.

I will say that the offerings from the likes of Huawei (in the past, they are not offered anymore) and Xiaomi are the equal of samsung now and like for like will be a bit cheaper. I've given out a good few of them now and apart from initial brand snobbery, everyone delighted with them.

Also some of the samsung galaxy A series phones are up there now. Put a case on a galaxy S phone and an A phone and you'd struggle to tell which is which when using them. But you'll notice a difference in your bank balance.

Would I notice much usability issues if I went for the Xiaomi? They do look cheaper. Would I also struggle to copy over my data?
