This is my picture of EI-ICR/RESCUE116.
At 11.03pm on the night of March 13th 2017, the Crew of Irish Coast Guard helicopter RESCUE116 left Dublin International Airport SAR Base on what would be their last mission, tasked to perform top cover for Sligo based RESCUE118.
It is apt that Sikorsky S92 EI-ICR was named by the people of Ireland as "Banrion Na Speire" when translated from Irish means "Queen Of The Skies".
RIP Dara Fitzpatrick, Mark Duffy, Paul Ormsby & Ciarán Smith - lost off Blacksod, Co Mayo at 00.46 on March 14th 2017.
