Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for a flock number

Hi, I've an opportunity to rent 50 acres at small enough money. Even though I'm mid forty years of age, I still farm under the father's herd number. (I know it's awful). He's runs the farm and we all do our bit around the place.

I'm just looking for advice on getting an actual herd number.

The wife is 39 turning 40 so would it be advisable to put it in her name. Neither of us will be doing the green cert. We wouldn't have time.

What, if any subsidies would we be entitled to. There's no entitlements with the ground.

    TIA

Just to add I tried getting in contact with teagasc but twice they said they would get back to me and haven't yet.
