What the Fish?

    A friend of mine got this fish with a second hand aquarium. He was told it was an old Molly, but we’re not at all convinced. Any ideas what it could be: it seems to be getting more silver since it arrived.

    Oh, you could be on to something there! As it adjusts to, presumably, better conditions than it was in it’s changing to a more silvery colour (it was almost totally black with some orange. I initially thought it looked like a shubunkin but it was the wrong shape). It does seem to have the stripe over its eye, and we’ll see how the fins grow back in.

    It's a tiger barb. Bit of a mix between a normal one and a green one.
