Instructor won’t update my EDT portal

I’ve done my first 6 EDT lessons over 3 sessions with a well know driving school. Sessions 1 and 3 were with the same instructor. Although he signed my logbook, he still hasn’t updated the EDT portal. The guy who took my 2nd session, texted me to say he tried updating the EDT portal, but couldn’t, as the 1st guy hadn’t done his bit.

All 3 sessions were taken last summer.

I’ve tried getting hold of the 1st instructor. He either says he will update the portal ASAP or that the rsa portal isn’t working.

What are my options here? Can someone else update the portal, given I have the signed logbook? It feels like the instructor is holding out to ensure I do my final 6 EDT sessions with him (or that driving school), which is a bit **** really.

Have you contacted the driving school?

    Hi,

There are only two possible reasons that he has not uploaded the lessons.

    1. He is hoping to force you to return to him for the remaining lessons, or
    2. He is no lomger a registered ADI. (If his ADI license has expired he can no longer access the portal)

Email the company immediately. Inform them taht you shall lodge a formal complaint with the RSA unless the lessons are updated immediately

(And that you shall publish the outcome on Boards.ie☺️ )
