Planning trip in July with wife and kids. Can fly to JFK or Newark.

what’s the best airline these days.

Aer Lingus from Ireland to US is the best. Especially flying with kids. Wouldn’t even look at any other ones unless you are looking for cheap deals (like I always do:))) I am half tempted by Play with stopover in Iceland.

To me it would depend on where my final destination is - no point in flying into Newark if for example you were staying in Queens or Brooklyn.

I like the Aer Lingus flight into Newark as I prefer a later departure from Dublin but the United flight is equally good in terms of service etc.

Delta also fly to JFK so don't disregard them either. Not much to choose between them if flying economy.

Will be dividing my time between New Jersey and Queens as have family in both so it’s makes no difference really.

have always flown delta and found them very good. Buts it’s 7 years since my last visit

Delta would be my airline of choice. But why don't you book an 'open jaw' ticket - into JFK and out of Newark (or vice versa). This could be done on the Aer Lingus website.
