EDT - do I have to do it ?

I have my car learners permit for quite some time, over 20 years now. I'm a biker so I was never really interested in driving cars or had the need to.

My wife would like me to drive our car more often so I've decided at the ripe old age of 42 to get my full licence.

The driving school I booked some lessons through mentioned I might be exempt from the EDT. Does anyone know of such a thing as I can't find a record of it ?

If your first permit was issued before 4th Aprill 2011, there is no need to do the EDT lessons
