2 Pin Din Connection - What's the Sound Quality Like?

Hi Folks,
I'm mulling over whether to buy an old Hi-Fi set from the 70s. It has connections on the amp for the old 2pin din connection as in the photo below. I've never used anything that had these so have no idea what they are like. Are they OK sound wise?
