I've received emails from spammy websites such as the below, which I received last night.

If you look in the email, it says my username for that website is "BoardsElGuapo"

I've never signed up to this particular site before so I'm wondering what's the link between it and Boards.ie

Are Boards selling email addresses now?

We are 100% not selling email addresses now or ever.

That site seems to host pools for World Cup, Superbowl, College Football, etc. is it possible you signed up to something like that on a thread discussing one of these?

I haven't signed up for anything like that. I've no interest in any of those sports or in doing pools of any sort.

I'm not even that active on Boards anymore and rarely post so I have no idea why I'd be signed up to that site, especially with my Boards user name which I have never used on any other site.
